Community Integration & Social Skills
The Ballsbridge Community Integration Program will offer services that promote skill acquisition in the areas necessary to bridge the gap between home and community settings for individuals diagnosed with various developmental delays.
The purpose of the Community Integration and Social Skills Program is to help clients achieve higher levels of independence towards becoming active participants and contributing members of their communities.
The goal of this program is for clients to generalize foundational skills learned through comprehensive and focused Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in social and community settings.
This goal will be achieved by applying empirically validated techniques and strategies derived from the principles of ABA and demonstrating functional relations between the teaching methods employed and the changes in behavior observed.
The Social Skills and Community Integration Program will include teaching and generalization of the following set of domain-specific skills: Self Advocacy, Adaptive Daily Living, Self Management, Community and Social Safety, Social Communication, Prevocational, and Vocational skills.
